Douglas D. Reh, MD, FARS

Biography

Dr. Reh completed his residency training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. After finishing his residency, Dr. Reh received fellowship training in advanced endoscopic sinus and skull base surgery at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary at Harvard University.

After completing his fellowship training, Dr. Reh joined the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Johns Hopkins as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Reh spent 10 years at Johns Hopkins where he performed thousands of primary and revision endoscopic sinus procedures on patients with rare and complicated nasal and sinus disorders. He was a co-founder of the endoscopic minimally invasive skull base center and had a co-appointment in the Department of Neurosurgery. Dr. Reh performed over 500 complex endoscopic skull base surgeries with Drs. Gary Gallia and Kai Chaichana at Johns Hopkins.

Dr. Reh is a national leader in the field of Rhinology (the study of the nose and sinuses) and endoscopic sinus surgery. He is an Associate Editor for the American Journal of Rhinology and Allergy. He is a fellow and serves on the board of directors of the American Rhinologic Society. He is also co-director of the largest sinus course in the world, the ARS Summer Sinus Symposium.

Before joining ENT Associates, Dr. Reh was an Associate Professor in the Departments of Otolaryngology and Neurosurgery and was the Medical Director at the Johns Hopkins Green Spring Otolaryngology practice.

Dr. Reh is certified by American Board of Otolaryngology. His clinical practice covers the expanse of sinonasal disorders including sinusitis, nasal polyps, and sinonasal tumors. His clinical interests concentrate on nasal obstruction, allergic and non-allergic rhinitis, chronic sinusitis, nasal polyps, and endoscopic approaches to sinonasal and skull base tumors and the endoscopic repair of cerebrospinal fluid leaks. Dr. Reh uses a careful approach with initial medical therapy and surgery when necessary. He offers in-office and operating room procedures to treat nasal and sinus disorders. Dr. Reh uses his expertise on sinusitis to manages sinus diseases before and after surgery with innovative medical therapies to help his patients sustain ongoing improvement in their disease and symptoms.
